Who

400 of the coolest and brightest from Winnipeg’s artistic atmosphere come out in a cloud of jewels and finery. In past years many guests have turned up in costumes keyed to the evening’s theme. It’s certainly not required, and many don’t––but it does help to break the ice. People of all climes come to shoot the breeze at Border Crossings’ parties, from the business world to the arts, from judges and lawyers to professors and writers, from architects to filmmakers––tout le monde turns out year after year.

What

It’s a grand evening of excellent dining, good wine, lively conversation and fine, fine art. The art pieces––and there will be over 50 pieces to chose from––all sell for the same remarkably low, low price of $400.

Friday, March 2, 2012 - Rain or Shine
7:00 pm – 10:00 pm: viewing, partying and strutting your stuff
8:00 pm – 10:00 pm: sumptuous buffet dinner
10:00 pm – 11:00pm: art auction takes place
11:00 – late: dessert, partying and dancing

Why

Border Crossings holds a fundraising gala only every second year, but when it does, it takes the whole city by storm. It’s an exciting and much-anticipated event in the local community and one of the city’s best parties––a breath of fresh air to relieve the winter doldrums. Come let us blow you away!
